For Caregivers

At Alpenglow Homecare, we understand the profound love and dedication caregivers have for their loved ones. As a caregiver, you provide unwavering support and face challenges with strength and compassion.

We know this journey can be incredibly rewarding, but it also comes with its own set of needs. Alpenglow Homecare promises to be a partner in your caregiving journey, offering the support and resources you deserve.

How do we support caregivers?

At Alpenglow Homecare, we understand that the path of a caregiver is not easy and can take its toll. We aim to be your partner in making this experience rewarding for both you and the person you care for.

  • Regular Check-Ins: Our care coordinators visit you in person according to the guidelines laid out in the program. These visits are a chance to chat, see how you're doing, and answer any questions you have. We want you to feel confident and supported in your caregiving role.
  • Skip the Paperwork Hassle: We make tracking your caregiving hours a breeze. All our documentation is completed electronically, either through our easy-to-use mobile app or conveniently via phone. No more paper timesheets for you! This streamlines the process and frees up your time for what matters most – caring for your loved one.
  • Timely Paychecks: Focus on what matters most – your loved one's well-being. Alpenglow Homecare is committed to ensuring you receive your paychecks accurately and on time, every single time. There are no worries about delays or hassles to disrupt your caregiving journey.
  • Financial Security: We recognize the importance of feeling financially secure. This is why we offer:
    • Weekly Pay: Receive your paycheck every Friday, ensuring a consistent and reliable income stream.
    • Peace of Mind for Your Future: We understand that caring for a loved one is a long-term commitment. Alpenglow Homecare offers a competitive 401k plan with employer matching to help you invest in your own future security. This allows you to focus on your loved one's recovery and well-being, knowing you're building a strong financial foundation for the years ahead.

Who is eligible to be a caregiver?

As a family member to your loved one, you are already the default caregiver. When you join our program, we can help you understand and become a qualified caregiver as outlined in Montana's Self-Directed Community First Choice (SD-CFC) / Personal Assistance Services (PAS) program.

How do you become eligible for SD-CFC/PAS benefits?

Eligibility criteria for SD-CFC/PAS include confirmation that the health condition limits the ability to perform activities of daily living. Following this, you will need to participate in the screening process and be eligible for Medicaid.

For more details, you can request more information by contacting the Montana Office of Public Assistance (OPA). Please contact us if you have any additional questions.

What are the responsibilities of a caregiver?

As a caregiver in your family, you probably already have an understanding of the types of support a caregiver can offer to medically fragile people. This includes focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) to help your loved one maintain independence and comfort at home. Our team can help you align everything you already do to be in line with the Medicaid-funded SD-CFC / PAS program so that you can benefit from it.

How much does a caregiver get paid through Alpenglow Homecare?

Alpenglow Homecare offers competitive wages. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that may include paid time off, bonuses, and other incentives. Contact us to learn more about your benefits.
